Glass Etching

Glass etching uses sand-like abrasives to etch or engrave various substrates. This glass sandblasting service is a process that is often used when marking crystal and glass with a distinct frosted look, but it can also be used on other substrates such as marble, acrylic, granite, metals, plastics, and more.

Not only is the process ideal for flat surfaces, but it can often be utilized on cylinders, bottles, bowls, and other curved surfaces.

If your project calls for premier elegance, our glass etching services in Wisconsin and Minnesota will deliver expert craftsmanship. Our team of sand etchers can customize their service to your specific needs.

Deep Sand Etching Service

Although capable of producing beautiful and permanent designs, etching is a relatively straight forward process. First, a photomask stencil is applied to the surface that’s being carved. Then, an abrasive, sand-like material (such as aluminum oxide) is propelled onto that surface. The abrasive carves the surface only in the open areas of the stencil, while the areas covered by the photomask remain smooth and spotless.

The end result is an impression made in the glass, crystal, or stone cleanly follows the pattern in the photomask.
